The Canvas Gallery celebrates its last month: Join us throughout the month of
April to celebrate the wonderful six-year run that The Canvas has had as a
neighborhood landmark and breeding ground for local art of all kinds. Enjoy new
art, closing drink specials, live music, and good company with us as we gear up
for a memorable last month. Check back for weekly event updates and party with
us up until our last day -- Sunday, April 29th.

If you're a musician or poet you won't do better than this open mic,
which has grown to become one of the Bay Area's most well known.

All Performances are recorded live to CD and made available to the artists upon
request.
Sign up in person at 6pm; open mic runs from 7:30pm-Midnight

Jazz with Vic Moraga is a recognized,noteworthy, and artistic talent. His voice
brings warmth and power complemented by the acoustic,electric, and classical
guitar. His virtuoso method of approach and his application of various
techniques on the guitar bring a fresh and exciting delivery to each
performance.
Drink Special: $3 IMPERIA Vodka and any Juice 4-8pm NO COVER, all
ages, 21 + bar $12 bottles of Champagne all day and all night!
Friday, 4/27
DJ Derrick and Redhouse!
4pm - 8pm
DJ Derrick will be playing his eclectic, 80's, electro, and reggae music for
his delirious happy crowd Redhouse-(Grow Record's top live band featuring
singer, guitarist: Rob Broderick), The Moanin Dove-(SF's trio of neo retro will
spell out what "doghouse slap" means), Ungrowndead opens. The Canvas' final
Friday Night big-ass rockshow! 7 pm. $7. 18+,21 up at the bar, wear a funky hat
and get a free beer and a shot (bartender's choice) until 10pm. Unheard-of
drink specials all weekend!
